Job Title: PRODUCT WELDER (GTAW)
Employment Status: Full-Time Hourly
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: FINISHING
Position Reports To: Finishing Supervisor/Lead
Summary: Perform TIG welding operations to repair and/or salvage castings by identifying and removing defects, filling holes, building sections, welding cracks, etc.
High school diploma or GED required. Vo-tech program in a related discipline preferred. Must be a certified welder with at least six (6) months of welding experience. Must complete military/aerospace welding certification testing. GTAW and TIG experience on aluminum preferred.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow written work instructions and specifications. Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Exposed to heat, fumes, dust, and noise. Capable of bending, reaching, walking, standing, stooping, and squatting. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Regular handling of flame and gas. Must wear protective safety equipment including welding hood, face shields, apron, leather gloves, and long-sleeve shirts (natural fibers). No exposed skin allowed due to UV danger.
