Position

Swenson Spreader, LLC is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding metal parts, preparing products for welding, operating welding equipment, and interpreting blueprints to create high-quality welds. You will also ensure all safety procedures are followed and maintain equipment in good working order.

Responsibilities

  • Read and build from blueprints to perform quality welds.
  • Operate welding machines (manual wire feed, automatic) and adjust welding parameters as needed.
  • Weld in multiple positions and perform inspections as required.
  • Safely use hand, air, pneumatic, and power tools.
  • Utilize cranes and hoists for various tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior MIG welding experience required; pulse MIG welding and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various body positions.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and basic math.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.


Work Environment

The role involves exposure to fumes, heat, mechanical parts, and other industrial conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.
