Position Overview
We are looking for motivated welders with experience in MIG and/or TIG welding and the ability to work with steel and/or aluminum.

Competitive Pay based on experience – starting rate $25.17 per hour.
Premium of $0.50 per hour for aluminum and robot welding.
2nd & 3rd shift premium of $1.00 per hour.
Wage increases every 6 months until top pay, and then annually.

Shift Overview
This position is currently available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift:
1st Shift: Monday – Friday 7AM to 3PM with paid lunch, voluntary overtime before or after shift.
2nd Shift: Monday – Friday 3PM to 11PM with paid lunch, voluntary overtime before or after shift.
3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday 11PM to 7AM with paid lunch, voluntary overtime before or after shift.
Essential Functions
Primarily produces repetitive weldments with parts oriented on the same plane or perpendicular to it, utilizing fixtures designed to locate parts and control welding distortion.
Locates, tacks, and welds parts to tolerances.
Certified to AWS D1.1 as a minimum using GMAW (Mig welding), FCAW (cored wire welding), and SMAW (stick welding). Welds are made in the flat and horizontal position on a table or positioner.
Produces less critical parts or sub-weldments with welds of prescribed size, minimal undercut, and spatter. Minor repair and cleanup may be required to meet customer expectations.
Grinds/cleans areas adjacent to welds as preparation for welding and removes slag and spatter as needed.
Completes all required paperwork including labor reporting and documentation of quality control and material movement.
Works safely and maintains the work area with high standards of housekeeping.
Performs self-inspection and other required quality control functions at the workstation.
Performs required Preventive Maintenance activities on machinery and/or equipment operated.
Trains and/or assists in the development of personnel.
Does the work in lower levels when assigned and assists in the work in higher levels.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
Required Qualifications
Previous metal fabrication/welding experience.
Basic blueprint reading and mechanical skills.
One or more welding process capability with the ability to attain AWS D1.1 certification.
Lifting requirements:
Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices are available and recommended.
Preferred Qualifications
High School diploma, technical training, or equivalent education OR one (1) year metal fabrication/welding preferred.
Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment.
