Responsibilities

• Assist lead welder in the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of metal structures and equipment.
• Clean and maintain welding equipment and work area.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Assist in the layout and assembly of metal components.
• Preparing welding machines, setting up torches, gas cylinders, and extension cords.
• Holding parts in place, aligning pieces, and assisting with complex, multi-person tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by lead welder.
• Removing slag, rust, and excess metal using grinders or wire brushes.

SPECIFIC TASK, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist lead welder in the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of metal structures and equipment.
• Clean and maintain welding equipment and work area.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Assist in the layout and assembly of metal components.
• Preparing welding machines, setting up torches, gas cylinders, and extension cords.

WORKER REQUIREMENTS (education, certifications, experience, etc.)

PREFERRED:

• The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and metalworking, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Monday-Friday
• 7am-4pm
• Call outs as needed.
