  • Coordinate with the Lead Welder for efficient operations.
  • Monitor ventilation and breathable air quality on site.
  • Operate specialized welding machinery as directed.
  • Regular attendance at the worksite is required.

Job Summary


This candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for assisting the lead welder in joining metal parts, filling seams and holes of metal components, inspecting equipment and structures, and following and maintaining knowledge of safety protocol. This position reports to the Shop Manager but functionally to the Lead Welder.


Essential Functions



  • Use electricity and torches to produce heat and solder together components made from steel, titanium, copper, and other metals

  • Assist the lead welder in welding small components used in the day to day operations

  • Assess equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods

  • Follow established job-site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area

  • Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards

  • Coordinate and follow direction from Lead Welder for efficient operations

  • Monitor the work environment for hazards and maintain healthy ventilation levels to avoid particle or gas inhalation

  • Operate specialized machinery for industrial welding

  • Take apart and disposes of large metal objects

  • Regular attendance at the worksite is required
