Job summary

Stoughton Trailers, LLC is seeking an experienced welder operator to produce weldments to quality and efficiency standards in our Wisconsin facility. Responsibilities include reading prints, setting up fixtures, and using robotic weld cells to complete assemblies.

Requirements include a High School Diploma with Level II welding certification and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience. Orientation and crane training are provided, and there is emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with Level II Certification in welding operations (manual/robotic).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing with manual or robotic weld operation and set-up.

Responsibilities

  • Produce weldments to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitively lifting and placing metal work pieces and sheets into fixtures and removing completed assemblies with lift devices.
  • Read prints to determine specifications, parts and fixtures, placement, dimensions and tolerances, and proper labeling of parts.
  • Understand robotic welding, including basic programming, fault clearing, troubleshooting, and training others on robot.
  • Troubleshoot errors with maintenance or programmers.
  • Contribute ideas and assist in continuous improvement of weld cell processes.
  • Attend scheduled work hours regularly and comply with all company policies.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Producing weldments to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitively lifting and placing metal work pieces and sheets into fixtures manually and repetitively, removing completed assemblies with lift devices.
  • Reading prints to determine specifications, such as parts and fixtures to be used, placement of parts, dimensions and tolerances, proper labeling of parts, etc., and accurately completing all required functions to ensure quality products.
  • Understanding and application of robotic welding including but not limited to basic programming, clearing faults, troubleshooting faults, basic computer programming for robotic weld cells, ability to train new employees on robot.
  • Troubleshoot errors with the assistance of maintenance or programmers.
  • Contribute ideas and assist in implementing continuous improvement of processes in the weld cells.
  • Attend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis. Maintain good attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
