1st Shift, 6am-2pm - $19/hour

3rd Shift, 10pm-6am - $19+$3/hour shift premium = $22/hour

JOST INTERNATIONAL IS HIRING ROBOT WELDERS FOR POSITIONS IN GRAND HAVEN, MICHIGAN

The Michigan location is both the North America corporate headquarters and the landing gear and king pin manufacturing plant. JOST sells to semi-truck and trailer builders, and we currently hold over 70% market share worldwide in the heavy-duty truck Landing Gear industry.

ROBOT WELDER INTRODUCTION:

This position reports to Welding Supervisor and Welding Lead. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

Performs duties associated with all areas of robotic welding parts for production.

ROBOT WELDER AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Weld parts to schedule and Work Instruction (WI) specifications.
2. Verify with Quality 1st piece inspection.
3. Hammer-stamp on all products produced.
4. Count and label products correctly.
5. Preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties of welding area as required and assigned.
6. Meet or exceed efficiency rates.
7. Meet quality welding standards.
8. Removal of non-conforming material at the end of the shift.
9. Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.

Requirements

ROBOT WELDER REQUIREMENTS:

1. Completion of High School education or GED.
2. Previous MIG welding experience preferred.
3. Must be able to consistently and on daily basis while performing work, safely; stand, twist, lift, bend, stoop, reach, kneel.
4. Ability to follow, understand and strictly abide by the Work Instructions. (WI)
5. Ability to work in a safe and productive manner at all times wearing required OSHA PPE.
6. Highly dependable, motivated, and self-driven with excellent attendance.
7. High level of attention to detail is a must.
8. Able to use handheld and power-driven tools correctly and safely.
9. Must pass pre-established requirements for company visual and penetration standards as determined by supervision.
10. Must be able to accurately and correctly read and comprehend blueprints.
11. Capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and rotate amongst various machines within this area (including but not limited to Press, etc.)
12. Ability and dexterity to work in all welding department areas with varied part/product weights and size.
13. Mechanically inclined.
14. Ability to gain knowledge, understanding and comply with JOST Basic Processes and JOST Safety Environmental and Quality standards, policies, and procedures.
15. Able to read and write legibly as defined by company standards.

ROBOT WELDER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting.
2. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand 8 – 10 hours during shift, walk, see, hear, use hands, reach, stoop, bend, twist, and occasionally will be required to repetitively lift or move objects which weigh a minimum of 41# pounds to a maximum 51# pounds.
