Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Welder Repair Technician in Springfield, MO. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating airgas equipment, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

You will maintain diagnostic tools, document work in our system and coordinate with service staff and customers. The position requires at least 2 years of electrical/electronic experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work evening shifts (Mon–Fri, 7:00 pm–4:00 pm).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years electrical/electronic experience or training
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret handwritten and computer-generated documents
• Must be able to wear protective equipment and use trade type tools
• Must be able to write reports and business correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, managers, customers, and the public

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and perform routine maintenance
• Calibrate equipment and maintain tools per manufacturer recommendations
• Update job status and parts orders in the Tech Software database
• Maintain company vehicles and ensure safe operation
• Interact with service manager, vendors, customers and staff in real time
