Job summary

Airgas, a leading U.S. supplier of industrial gases, is hiring an Electromechanical Repair Technician in Appleton, WI.

You will maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and control systems on welding equipment, travel to customer sites, and ensure proper calibration and PMs. The role requires 2+ years of experience, a high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift heavy loads and travel up to 85% locally.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• At least 21 years old.
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite applications and Microsoft Office.
• General mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to plan a logical approach to troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, MSDS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and control functionality of welding equipment.
• Repair engine drives, inverters, transformers and automation equipment.
• Maintain inventory of parts and complete required documentation including hours for billing.
• Travel to customer sites to diagnose needs, perform PM and deliver NIST-traceable calibration on equipment.
• Contribute to team goals and communicate status with vendors and customers.
