Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-driven
Welder & Pipefitter to join our fast-growing Kenyon & Partners team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the fabrication and installation of HVAC systems through the application of high-quality welding practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on carbon steel and stainless-steel piping systems used in HVAC installations
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometric sketches, and welding symbols to execute accurate welds
- Conduct layout, fit-up, and tack welding before completing full welds on HVAC piping assemblies
- Support field teams with on-site welding during system installation or repair projects
- Ensure welds meet code requirements, quality standards, and inspection criteria
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and PPE in clean, safe working condition
- Adhere to safety protocols and assist with maintaining a clean and hazard-free job site
- Assist with material handling, pipe prep, and other mechanical tasks as needed to support project schedules
- Documented completed work and communicated effectively with supervisors and project managers
- Follow directions and assist lead Piping Installer as needed

- Assist in the installation of piping
- Assist in equipment setting
- Must be able to work well with others and be able to take direction
- Strong organizational and planning skills; Able to effectively allocate and develop resources

- Produce consistent, high-quality welds that meet or exceed industry and project standards
- Support production schedules by delivering reliable and timely welding services
- Promote a safety-first culture through individual practice and adherence to all job site safety requirements
- Contribute to a high-performing team environment through dependability, craftsmanship, and professionalism
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
This position reports to the local Branch Manager.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC or industrial welding, with a focus on pipe welding (TIG, MIG, and Stick)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical and welding blueprints
- Certified or ability to certify to ASME and AWS standards preferred
- Experience welding in both shop and field environments, including tight or elevated spaces
- OSHA 10, preferred, or willing to obtain once hired
- Valid Driver License with an acceptable driving record
- Strong understanding of safe welding practices and job site safety protocols
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and piping configurations

Clear communicator with the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, safety guidelines, and technical diagrams.
Mathematical Skills
Capable of measuring pipe lengths, angles, and material takeoffs with precision.
Reasoning Ability
Detail-oriented with the ability to assess welding requirements, determine appropriate techniques, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and work in varying field conditions. Regular work on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops is expected.
