We provide diverse mechanical services to meet our customer’s needs, ranging from engineering and installing heating and cooling systems to maintaining and troubleshooting commercial/industrial HVAC and fire protection systems. eTEC’s mission is to provide commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection systems for customers who need a single source mechanical contractor. Job Summary

Layout, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of piping systems, structural steel, pumps and equipment in the commercial and industrial environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and weld techniques.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.
• Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• At least 5+ years of practical welding is required.
• Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade and general construction environment.
• Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used.
• Certification at one or more levels is required.
• Physical activities include standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders, walking and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. are required.
