Entertimeonline is seeking an experienced Welder - Overhead in Des Moines, IA. The role involves welding machine parts, setting up overhead welders, and performing related tasks as directed by the supervisor.
The position requires high school diploma or equivalent, physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and the ability to stand for long periods. Candidates should be prepared to work with PPE and maintain quality standards in a union environment.
Perform a variety of duties associated with welding machine parts. Also required to perform other tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.
1.Obtain supplies, position work and follow verbal or written instructions
2.Demonstrated ability to set-up, operate and maintain electrodes on an overhead welder
3.Review quality of parts produced and note deviation from approved part
4.Report deviation of parts produced to Supervisor
5.Operate spot welders, grinders, sanders and other equipment used on the cabinet line
6.Required to wear PPE
7.Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
8.Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
9.Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
1.Adequate communication skills; verbal and written
2.Ability to read and understand written instructions
