Job summary

Complete Staffing LLC in Orange, TX is seeking a Welder for a Metal Superstore. You will read shop drawings to fabricate frames, trusses, and building components, and weld structural beams, tubing, channel, angle, and plate using MIG/flux-core and stick.

Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Starting pay is $20.00–$28.00 per hour with a 520-hour probationary period; temp-to-hire. Benefits include Health Insurance, 401K with match, PTO, and annual bonus when permanent.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production or structural welding in fabrication setting.
• Proficient in MIG/flux-core welding on carbon steel; flat, horizontal, vertical.
• Able to read shop drawings and a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
• Lift 50 lbs regularly and work in a hot shop for full shifts.
• Reliable transportation and on-time attendance.
• Weld test may be required during interview.

• •Inspect your own welds and fix defects before parts move on
• •Direct and teach a Welder's Assistant during fit-up and prep
• •Maintain welding machines, leads, and tools; follow hot-work and fire safety rules

Required

• •2+ years of production or structural welding experience in a fabrication shop or field setting
• •Proficient in MIG/flux-core welding on carbon steel; able to weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
• •Able to read shop drawings and a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch
• •Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and work in a hot shop for full shifts
• •Reliable transportation and on-time attendance
• •Willing to complete a weld test as part of the interview

Preferred

• •AWS certification (such as D1.1 structural steel)
• •Experience fabricating metal buildings, carports, or structural frames
• •Forklift or overhead crane experience
• •Valid Texas driver's license with a clean record

Working conditions

Shop work around heat, sparks, noise, and fumes. Some days may include loading material or helping on job sites.

PAY:

Starting pay is $20.00--$28.00 perh hour, Depending on Experience with a 520 hr. probationary period.

This is a temp to hire position.
