Job summary

A leading company in the Manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Welder Operator in Sauk Rapids, MN. The position involves performing TIG welding of stainless steel and operating various welding machines. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Welding Technology and have a minimum of 3 years of experience. This is a temp position for 12 months with a pay rate ranging from $18.61 to $31.63 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience performing TIG welding of stainless steel.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-purity clean room environment.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and weld to print skills.

Responsibilities

  • Running various welding machines, including TIG and orbital welding.

  • Executing all client's Standard Operating Procedures.

Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Sauk Rapids, MN. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Running of various welding machines to include hand welding, using a TIG welder and orbital welding using an orbital welding machine of stainless steel and other high purity materials.
  • Execute all of client's Standard Operating Procedures as they pertain to manufacturing related duties.
  • Responsible for the study of prints, drawings and specifications to complete finished welds and lay out of tasks using specialized computer welding equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $18.61 - $31.63 /hr

Hours: 40 hrs/week / 1ST shift

Length: Temp (12 months)

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Welding technology.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience performing Tig welding of stainless steel
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in high-purity clean room environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanics, flow control elements and MRP concepts.

Preferred Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience - semiconductor industry
  • Basic math, blueprint reading and weld to print skills.
  • Basic PC skills for manufacturing.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to handle fragile products, perform repetitive tasks and demonstrate safety awareness.
  • Proficiently use all approved hand gauges to inspect component quality at the work center.
  • Commitment to quality, customer focused mindset both internally and externally.
  • Ability to process and inspect work in accordance to prints.
  • Ability to perform a sequence of operations, consistently maintaining the performance level set for quality and quantity.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, correspondence, and documents.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively with supervisors, leads, and peers.
  • Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50lbs.
