Description

Position Summary: Responsible for welding and assembling custom curbs in a timely manner while maintaining CDI quality standards.

Essential Functions:

  1. Read and analyze engineering drawings and design specifications to plan layout and assembly of finished units.
  2. Operate and maintain welder machine to produce to specifications.
  3. Assemble curb to specifications.
  4. Operate the folding machine, shear, chop saw, and iron worker to make products.
  5. Measure workpieces and verify dimensions to specifications.
  6. Use work orders and job schedules to prioritize work.
  7. Keep work space clean and organized.
  8. Maintain good attendance.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Performance Measures: Good Attendance, Productivity, Accuracy, Number of quality issues, Inches per minute - Shell Text.

Experience: Basic reading, writing, arithmetic skills required, typically acquired with a High School diploma or GED. Combination of trade school and/or 2 years practical experience.

Skills: Ability to weld or tack metal parts together; read blueprints; layout, position, brace, and secure parts within the units; examine units for defects; measure units for conformance.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods; frequently bend, twist, grip, squat, and lift; lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
