Job summary

Wabash seeks skilled welders to join our manufacturing teams responsible for carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum parts. You will weld to quality standards, read engineering prints, and perform routine maintenance. Training and in-house Weld School may be provided for test passers.

Applicants must pass weld tests and a respirator fit test, with safety and quality in mind, and be capable of performing in a dynamic production environment while using PPE as required.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass Weld Tests associated with product line prior to welding in production.
• Must pass respirator fit test.
• Basic reading, writing, math & verbal skills.
• Capable of following and understanding engineering prints, specifications & instructions.

Responsibilities

• Own and help improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
• MIG and/or TIG weld at a level that meets quality standards.
• Read engineering prints, weld symbols, and follow specifications.
• Basic operator preventative maintenance for welding related equipment.
• Maneuvering in tight and small spaces; work at heights of 15-20 ft.
• Perform additional work assigned by supervisor or team leader across departments.
• Wear approved PPE (safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection).
• Complete assigned duties with emphasis on safety and production standards.
