Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. seeks skilled welders for 1st and 2nd shifts in New Prague, MN. You will perform Mig and Tig welding on stainless and mild steels, read blueprints, and assemble weldments per drawings and procedures.

Pipe welding and pipe fitting experience is preferred. Candidate must pass welding certification within 4 weeks. Expect a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, health, dental and vision, 401k with match, HSA contributions, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience performing Mig and/or Tig Welding
• Pipe Welding experience is required or able to obtain within your certification period
• Pipe Fitting experience is preferred
• Ability to comprehend complex blueprints and weld symbols
• Experience with air-arc gouging and operation of plasma cutting machines
• Ability to accurately measure using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers

Responsibilities

• Perform Mig welding on parts manufactured from stainless steel and mild steel.
• Layout, assemble and weld according to drawings, BOMs, work instructions and weld procedures.
• Position welded parts on fixtures and secure with jigs and clamps.
• Maintain required welding documentation and inspect welds for defects.
• Train and supervise other welders and participate in safety programs.
