BME Fire Trucks in Boise, Idaho, is seeking skilled welders/fabricators to join our locally owned team. You will weld parts, read blueprints, and ensure dimensional accuracy to build high-quality wildland fire apparatus used across the US and Canada.

Qualifications

  • Mig welding experience on aluminum.
  • Ability to read blueprints of fire truck designs.
  • Good attitude with high quality expectations for safety-critical work.
  • Physically fit—ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and climb ladders.
  • Basic math skills with ability to read a tape measure.
  • Excellent diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use plasma torch.

Responsibilities

  • Welding parts together to form the body and other components of the fire truck.
  • Welding aluminum materials into structural shapes.
  • Reading blueprints.
  • Welding a visually aesthetic product.
  • Identifying and maintaining dimensional and quality requirements of the build.

Job Description

BME Fire Trucks is seeking skilled welders/fabricators with experience. We are a locally owned Fire Truck manufacturer in Boise, Idaho. BME manufactures wildland fire apparatus used in the US and Canada for wildland fire suppression. Be a part of something that makes a difference in saving lives, homes, and our amazing recreational areas. As a Welder, you will be responsible for:

  • Welding parts together to form the body and other components of the fire truck
  • Welding aluminum materials into structural shapes
  • Reading blueprints
  • Welding a visually aesthetic product
  • Identifying and maintaining dimensional and quality requirements of the build
Requirements
What it takes to catch our eye
  • Mig welding experience on aluminum
  • Be able to read blueprints of fire truck designs or parts.
  • Great attitude and high expectations for the quality of your work. (Our trucks are used in life or death situations and are expected to perform).
  • Physically fit – ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and climb ladders.
