Job description

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity for a Welder / Mechanic at a company in Lincoln, NE. This is a 1st shift, direct hire position.

Welder / Mechanic Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Weld, in any aspect, with various welding equipment provided in the fleet garage, including using an oxy-acetylene outfit for cutting purposes.
  • Design, fabricate, and repair a variety of metal work.
  • Perform minor repair and maintenance on fleet vehicles.
  • Performs all work in accordance with schedules, policies, procedures and standards of quality and safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Welder / Mechanic Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or GED; and
  • 2 years of experience in welding with working knowledge of the use and care of arc welding equipment, acetylene torches, grinders, and other tools of the welding trade; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to frequently lift / move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift / move up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Must be flexible regarding work schedule.
