Job Title: Welder – Transformer Manufacturing

Introduction:

As a Welder at Central Moloney, you will perform fabrication duties essential to producing pole transformers. Your metalworking and welding skills will contribute to high-quality product assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assemble and repair metal components.
2. Perform welding and fabrication tasks per production needs.
3. Read blueprints to ensure accurate work.
4. Cut metal to specified sizes and shapes.
5. Smooth molten metal to meet quality standards.
6. Weld using various metals, including steel and aluminum.
7. Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
8. Keep accurate records of activities.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to interpret specifications and perform basic math.
• Minimum of 2 years MIG welding experience.
• Follow instructions accurately.
• Physically capable of demanding tasks.
• Background check, drug, and physical screening required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Work in noisy, extreme temperature environments.
• Perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing, crouching, reaching, and grasping.
• Wear PPE including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety footwear.
• Manual dexterity and good vision are required.
• Stand for long shifts.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and basic math skills.
• Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
