Job Title: Welder II

Job Description

Welder II will be qualified on all processes and materials, including P1, P8, P10H, and nickel alloys. The master welder performs tasks such as welding root passes, back gouging, tube joints, structural welds, and other pressure-retaining welds, following welding procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Select and safely operate appropriate equipment.
  • Perform all welding tasks.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and stored properly.
  • Communicate work aspects with leadership.
  • Check work for conformity to specifications before final welding.

Competencies:

  • Blueprint reading
  • Knowledge of overhead cranes and hand signals
  • Safe rigging practices
  • Adherence to standards and quality in a safe manner
  • Physical ability to perform bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at heights up to 25 feet

Education/Experience:

  • 4-7 years relevant work experience
