Job summary

Dresser Utility Solutions GmbH is seeking a Level 2 Welder to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will weld stainless-steel and carbon steel components using GTAW and GMAW processes to produce high-quality pressure vessel welds, while contributing to other welding-related tasks as needed.

The role involves passing a TPS weld test (excluding butt welds), setting up and running welding equipment, inspecting finished parts for conformance, and assisting engineers on prototypes or process

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of welding experience required.
• Teamwork, coordination, organization, and planning skills essential.
• Strong documentation and data-entry capabilities required.

Responsibilities

• Pass TPS weld test, not including butt weld.
• Small outlet welds and encapsulation sleeve fabrication.
• Set up and run welding equipment and troubleshoot sequences.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specs.
• Maintain inventory of job materials and provide production reports.
• Assist engineers with prototypes and process improvements.

Salary Range: $24.00 To $29.00 Hourly

Role Summary/Purpose:

A Level 2 Welder is responsible for welding of stainless-steel, carbon steel components while utilizing and demonstrating high quality pressure vessel welds in the GTAW and GMAW process. Job responsibilities are not limited to welding.

• Pass TPS weld test, not including butt weld
• Small outlet welds
• Encapsulation sleeve fabrication and repairs
• Ability to set up and run all welding equipment
• Ability to trouble shoot and adjust current welding sequences within standards
• Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality
• Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
• Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity
• Prepare and assemble materials
• Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
• Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
• Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, or ring gauges
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications
• Maintain accurate inventory of job materials.
• Plan and layout work to meet production and schedule requirements
• Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors
• Set up and verify the functionality of safety equipment
• Start up and shut down processing equipment
• Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Maintain clean production equipment and work areas
• Provide advice or training to other technicians
• Proper selection of cleaning materials, tools, or equipment

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
