Job summary

Job description

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable welder/laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and working with concrete. The laborer will be responsible for welding, assisting with manufacturing concrete stair treads, and installing concrete stair treads. The laborer will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently and maintaining our high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld materials according to specifications
• Set up the pans/molds and pour concrete
• Mix and pour concrete
• Spread and smooth concrete
• Operate hand and power tools
• Operate forklift, skid steer, etc
• Install concrete stair treads
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman

Qualifications

Welding experience is a must, however, we are willing to train for the other responsibilities for this position. If you are bilingual, that is a huge plus!

• A valid driver's license is required
• Previous experience in welding (at least 3-5 years)
• Experience working with concrete is preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions (no drama)
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of welding and cutting processes is preferred
• Familiarity with safety protocols in welding and construction
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and will be subject to random drug testing throughout employment

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions

Work Environment:

• Work is primarily outdoors on construction sites or inside the shop
• Exposure to loud noises, dust, and other construction-related hazards
