Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate TIG, MIG, and Oxy Acetylene welding equipment and common shop tools.
  • Analyze work orders and prints to develop welding projects and select techniques.
  • Use measuring equipment (tape measure, calipers, laser level) for quality control.
  • Cut stock using shop equipment and engineering drawings for complex assemblies.
  • Fabricate welded assemblies and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Advanced welder with the capability of operating TIG, MIG, and Oxy Acetylene welding equipment and common shop tools such as grinders, sanders and hydraulic straightening equipment. Must be able to train Welder I, Welder II and Welder III.

  2. Advanced skill level for developing welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assembly; calculating requirements; determining appropriate welding techniques.

  3. Advanced capability for using measuring equipment (tape measure, framing square, straight edge, calipers, laser level)

  4. Advanced capability for using shop measuring equipment, engineering drawings and cutting equipment to cut stock (tubing, angle iron, channel iron, flat bar, etc.) for complex welded miscellaneous assemblies and frame assemblies.

  5. Advanced capability for fabricating all miscellaneous welded assemblies and more complex frame assemblies.

  6. Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss. Conforms to departmental safety requirements.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
