Job Description

We are seeking experienced Welders to support our NAVSEA Carderock customer. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least ten years of welding experience with materials such as stainless steel (300, 400, 17-4 PH series), aluminum (5000 and 6000 series), medium and mild steel, HY-80, 100, HSLA-80, and 100 steel, pipe, structural steel, nickel, aluminum, and bronze alloys
• Ability to document weld parameters (heat input, travel speed, voltage, amperage, weld pass arrangement)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions
• Experience setting up and performing Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Ability to use ultrasonic testing devices and precision measuring instruments
• Proficiency in visual inspection of welds
• Experience with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW welding processes
• AWS certification relevant to the welding applications

Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
