Construction – Welders/Ironworkers Needed

MMI is an industrial contractor and steel fabricating company based in Mesa, Arizona. Established in 1974, we continue to grow each year. We are proud of our team of over 200 loyal members and are seeking experienced individuals to contribute at a high level.

We are looking to hire ironworkers with at least 3 years of experience in ironworking and welding. Responsibilities include raising, positioning, aligning, and connecting steel components to form structures. Most work is in the Phoenix metro area, with some travel out of state. Candidates must pass a drug test.

Pay range: $22.00 to $30.00 depending on experience

(Potential total compensation: $57,000 - $78,000 including overtime, averaging 10 hours per week depending on workload)

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Layout, bolt up, connect, and erect structural steel
• Install steel stairs, railings, fences, gates, and miscellaneous metals
• Follow safety guidelines and policies
• Use crane hoisting, rigging, and signaling (certifications a plus)
• Welding, torch cutting, arc gouging, grinding
• Be certified or able to pass a 3G and 4G weld test (SMAW and FCAW)
• Operate equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, reach forklifts
• Work overtime, nights, and weekends as required
• Own tools required for the job

Physical requirements for ironworkers:

• Lift objects over 50 lbs.
• Stoop, kneel, crawl, lay, bend, squat, stand, walk for long periods
• Climb and balance on ladders, scaffolding, or high structures (may exceed 100ft)
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
