Graham Corporation is seeking a Welder who will enroll in an unpaid training program before transitioning to a paid role. Responsibilities include performing welding tasks on structures, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards, as well as contributing to a team-oriented environment. Ideal candidates will have solid welding experience and a willingness to adhere to safety regulations.
Description
This position includes enrollment in our 20-week, Arc & Flame Training Program in Rochester, NY. The $11,000 training cost is covered; however, the program itself is unpaid. Compensation begins upon successful completion of the training and your transition to an onsite role in Batavia, NY.
Position Summary: Performs all position welding on an assortment of structures and weldments in accordance with code requirement, alignments and dimensional specifications. Requires a broad knowledge of welding technology in addition to extensive welding experience, fulfills ASME section IX welding qualifications. Reports directly to Production Supervisor, Weld Shop or his/her designate.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.
Education and Training
· Technical Trades School in Welding
· High school GED Required
Experience:
· 1+ years of welding experience.
Other:
· Must be willing to work overtime as required.
· Minimal travel may be required

· Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is primarily required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend. Required to speak and communicate clearly with others. Corrected vision to 20/20 or adequate and ability to identify and distinguish colors.
· Mental demands: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is required to read, write, analyze data and reports, exercise judgment, develop plans, procedures and goals, present information to others and work under pressure.
· Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is also exposed to high level of manufacturing and equipment noise. Duties are performed indoors in a manufacturing environment with temperature changes. Exposure to hazardous materials, fumes or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts with vibration.
