Job summary

AC Corp, a Crete United company, is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Fabrication team in Raleigh, NC. This is a hands-on welding and fabrication role using MIG, TIG and Stick welding to build custom equipment from drawings.

You will read blueprints, cut and form material, and assemble products from start to finish. Candidates should have 2+ years of TIG/MIG welding, sheet metal experience, soldering/brazing skills, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of TIG/MIG welding (stainless steel & aluminum a plus)
• Must have worked in a sheet metal shop
• Soldering, Brazing experience
• Knowledge of weld symbols
• Must have at least 2 years of metal fabrication experience
• Understand blueprints/drawings
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Can-do attitude

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to create cut list and material needed
• Pull material from stock
• Cut, bend, fit and tack
• Clean up welds (wire brush/grinders)
• Operate shear, press brakes, rollers, etc.
• May use forklift to move material
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Potentially up to 25% travel

AC Corporation is looking for an experienced Welder to join our Fabrication team in Raleigh, NC.

This is a hands-on welding and fabrication position for someone who enjoys building things and takes pride in quality work. You'll use MIG, TIG, and Stick welding while working with a variety of metals to fabricate custom equipment and components.

This isn't a production-line welding job. Our welders work from drawings, take measurements, cut and form material, and help build products from start to finish.

What You'll Do

• Read blueprints to create cut list and material needed.
• Pull material from stock
• Cut, bend, fit and tack
• Clean up welds (wire brush/grinders)
• Operate shear, press brakes, rollers, etc.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent walking, bending, and squatting
• Ability to work in both hot and cold shop environments
• Ability to safely wear required PPE, including welding helmet, safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective gloves

• Fan bases
• Platforms and permanent ladders
• Mezzanines
• Handrails
• Other custom-fabricated metal components
