Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Welder II for the 2nd shift to perform welding and fabrication with high precision. The role focuses on selecting metals, preparing parts, welding to WPS and ASME specs, and inspecting welds for quality.

The candidate will read blueprints and use grinders, calipers, and clamps daily. Minimum one year of welding experience required; GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW skills are essential. On-site welding test required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Attention to detail and steady hand
• Knowledge of safety standards and PPE usage

Responsibilities

• Identify materials and welding method per WPS and engineering callouts
• Prepare and fit materials using grinders, calipers, clamps
• Weld components with GTAW, GMAW, FCAW in various positions
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and conformance to ASME specs
• Operate grinders and measuring tools to prepare parts
• Ensure proper setup and alignment before welding
