Job summary

CADREX Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Welder II to perform manual welding to defined specifications and production schedules at our onsite Minnesota facility. You will prepare tooling, stage parts, perform quality checks, and maintain safe, orderly work areas while working with various welding symbols and tolerances.

The role requires at least 1+ year in metal manufacturing, AWS MIG certifications for steel and aluminum, and the ability to read prints.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in metal manufacturing setting preferred.
• Pass AWS MIG welding certifications for steel and aluminum.
• Understand welding symbols, tolerances and use quality measuring equipment.
• Meet or exceed company PPM level standards by producing quality work.
• Obtain weld certifications in two or more welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders.
• Ability to perform basic math for measurements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up tools and equipment for welding.
• Arrange parts for welding and staging processes.
• Perform quality inspections per documentation and control plan.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Read simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Uphold site efficiency standards.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement for Safety and Quality standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Lead.
• Assist in other work areas as assigned.
• Understand welding symbols and tolerances; work with quality measuring equipment.
• Work completely independently without supervision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the work center.
• Produce quality work at company standard efficiency level.
• Cross trained in multiple workstations.
