Job summary

The Welder II at Oshkosh McNeilus in Dodge Center, MN welds, assembles and reworks metal components on multiple production lines to build high-quality refuse truck bodies. You will operate welding equipment, read blueprints, and maintain safety standards across 1st and 2nd shifts.

Responsibilities include heat forming parts, adjusting settings on welding equipment, using overhead cranes and robot welders, and performing rework as needed to meet quality targets.

Qualifications

• One year of welding experience or an evaluated equivalent.
• Passed weld test either through pre-employment or internal weld program.
• Willingness to learn to operate multiple weld stations.

Responsibilities

• Heat and form metal parts using welding equipment; position material for welding.
• Operate an overhead crane to move parts safely into place.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment for different weld configurations.
• Rework on raw material, finished machines, or in-process welding activities.
• Follow safety procedures and 6S standards in the work area.
