Job Summary

The Welder is responsible for operating welding equipment to build high-quality parts, subassemblies, and finished products, performing various welding techniques including flat, vertical, overhead, and rework of raw or finished products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Heat and form metal parts using hand tools, torch, plasma cutter, or other welding equipment; properly position materials for welding.
  • Operate overhead cranes and measure accurately.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment following safety procedures and standards.
  • Train and work across different production areas as needed.
  • Position, assemble, and weld metal parts according to blueprints.
  • Operate and troubleshoot robot/Tube welders.
  • Rework raw materials and finished products as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • One year of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Successful weld test completion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in multiple weld stations and ability to train others.
  • Ability to perform quality welds with minimal guidance.
  • Welding on truck chassis and proficiency in surface welding are preferred.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience.

Core Competencies

  • Effective communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with internal and limited external contacts.

Working Conditions

  • Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Environmental conditions may include dust, temperature extremes, and loud noises.
  • Routine shift hours with occasional overtime.
