Overview

The Welder II uses welding techniques and machines to fabricate or repair metal parts. This involves working from specifications and ensuring proper care of welding equipment.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Perform layout, cutting and welding work as required
  • Complete welding of components according to procedures
  • Arrange parts for welding and staging processes
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Set up welding machines based on specifications of the job
  • Use specialized gas metal arc welding techniques and equipment to join pieces of metal together
  • Work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • High School (High school diploma) or GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing, technology, or aerospace and defense with the ability to set up welding machine for aluminum
  • Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
