Job summary

OPW - A Dover Company seeks a skilled welder for repair and maintenance of equipment and structures at our Allentown area facility. You will perform welding tasks to repair pipes, ductwork, and other components, inspecting welds and ensuring compliance with procedures.

Work may include cutting and trimming with welding equipment and fabricating simple fixtures as required, under moderate supervision.

OPW is part of the Clean Energy & Fueling segment of Dover (NYSE: DOV).Repair & Maintenance Welding work focuses on repairing and maintaining equipment, structures, and fixtures by applying heat to bond/fuse metal surfaces or parts together including: Using hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to assemble metal components into parts for equipment. Maintaining and repairing manufacturing production equipment, structures, pipe systems, and ductwork. Inspecting existing weldments to identify areas of weakness. May also use welding equipment to perform metal cutting/trimming work or fabricate simple fixtures. A Support 2 requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education.
