Job summary

FloWorks International LLC in Pasadena, TX, seeks an experienced welder to operate automatic or semiautomatic welding equipment and contribute to fabrication for NFPA standards. You will be required to interpret job sheets, inspect welds, and ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role involves standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasional travel, with benefits and a path toward skilled craftsmanship within the FloWorks

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of experience in welding or a related area.
• Specialized welding training/certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Hand welds various fittings to different pipe sizes and joints.
• Interprets application job sheets and welding fittings.
• Analyzes welds to ensure they are free of porosity and discontinuities.
• Ensures welds are stamped/marked to show certification.
• Sorts piping per job and line numbers per fabrication job.
• Reviews order tickets to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Verifies final products meet quality control standards.

Job Information

Tends automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Performs simple tests to verify production/process conditions. Maintains operating records and reports of test results. Contribute to the manufacturing of Fire Protection pipe fabrication to NFPA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Hand welds various fittings to different sizes of pipes and welding joints
• Interprets application job sheets and various sizes of welding fittings
• Analyzes all welds to ensure they are free of porosity and discontinuities
• Ensures all welds are visibly stamped or identified with markings to designate that welds were performed by a certified welder
• Sorts piping per job and sorts line numbers per fabrication job
• Reviews the order ticket and determines the work to be performed meets the customer's specifications
• Verifies the final product meets quality control standards

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED required. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally, 2 - 5 years of experience in area of responsibility

This role operates in a warehouse environment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
