Job description

Sets welding machine voltage and wire speed for proper fusion of metals following standard work methods and detailed drawings.

Produces complex welded assemblies to close tolerances where considerable knowledge and skill in the field of welding are required to produce quality results. May include working with robotic gas welding equipment.

Performs regular maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment to ensure proper working order.

Inspects weldments for obvious and non-obvious defects such as but not limited to: weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds, and sharp corners/edges.

Assists in training Welder I team members in proper procedures, techniques, and tool use.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Working knowledge of blueprint reading preferred.
  • Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • 1 year of related experience.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
  • Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
  • Somewhat disagreeable or hazardous conditions.
