You will work from shop orders, inspect parts, and set up welds using designated procedures. A safety‑driven mindset and teamwork are essential for success in this fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic welding knowledge with experience or training in GMAW.
• Must be knowledgeable in Lean Methodologies.
• Ability to read and understand basic assembly prints and weld symbols.
• Lift/Push/Pull up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Follow Ferrara safety rules and promote a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Work from shop orders, specifications, prints and instructions.
• Review material and product requirements; ensure parts are cut and prepared.
• Set parts in assembly fixture, position, layout and clamp in place in specified orientation to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Select welding parameters per specified weld procedures; work in teams and follow work instructions for quality welding.
• Move and handle heavy units to maintain workflow and efficiency.
• Make visual and dimensional checks of welds and document results.
• Support training and orientation programs for new and transferring employees.
• The welder is responsible for weld quality, to be inspected by Ferrara Quality Department.
