Job summary

Nothum is seeking a skilled welder to join a team in Springfield, Missouri, supporting welding for large-scale machinery. This role requires precision, strong attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include welding processes, reading blueprints, measuring and squaring assemblies, and following supervisor instructions. The position demands physical endurance and proper PPE usage; weld tests are part of pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Prior welding experience (TIG preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Understanding of welding safety procedures.
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.
• Must complete a weld test as part of pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding processes for large-scale machinery.
• Ensure assigned weldments are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Measure and square assemblies for proper alignment.
• Follow blueprints and supervisor instructions; seek clarification when needed.
• Execute physical tasks including standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and crawling.
• Lift and move up to 50 lbs; heavier loads require assistance.
• Utilize required PPE, including safety glasses, weld hood, and steel toe boots.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Tier 1 Responsibilities: Weld out frames, weld AcuFeeders, install doors, and heat exchanger stacks.
