Job summary

MW Industries, Inc. in Cedar Grove, NJ is seeking an Electron Beam Welding Technician for on-site work. You will perform electron beam, heli-arc and spot welding on assemblies, follow blueprints, and inspect weld quality to meet company standards.

Responsibilities include set-ups, leak testing, recording results, and maintaining weld room organization. A HS diploma is required, technical degree a plus, and a safety-conscious team environment is offered.

Job Summary:

Perform Electron beam welding on assemblies following procedures; able to set up and tend machines designed to weld through the use of a high-velocity electron beam.

Reporting To:

Essential Job Functions:

• Review work orders to ensure familiarization with job requirements.
• Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
• Operate machine(s) utilizing proper procedures for optimum weld quality.
• Perform welding using Heli-arc, Spot weld, and Electron Beam equipment.
• Inspect parts continuously to ensure that the welding process is performed in a manner consistent with company standards of quantity and quality.
• Perform set-ups, adjust control settings to meet strength, leak test, pressure and penetration requirements for a wide variety of assembly types and materials.
• Leak test welded parts at each operation as required by routing.
• Record weld results and distribute daily report.
• Maintain file of weld schedules and fixtures in good order in weld room.
• Perform cross-sectioning of parts where required.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment in the weld room as required.

Salary Range:

$28.00 - $35.00/Hour, Depending on Experience.
