Job summary

MW Components, Inc. in Cedar Grove, NJ is seeking an Electron Beam Welder to perform welding on assemblies using high-velocity electron beam equipment, following procedures and set-ups.

You will review work orders, read blueprints, operate Heli-arc, spot weld and EB equipment, inspect parts for quality, and maintain weld schedules and fixtures. The role requires a High School Diploma (technical degree a plus) and the ability to lift 30 lbs, work in a fast-paced team environment, and adhere to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree is a plus.
• Experience with welding and reading blueprints preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders to ensure understanding of job requirements.
• Interpret engineering blueprints and follow technical instructions.
• Operate welding machines for optimum weld quality.
• Perform welding using Heli-arc, Spot weld, and Electron Beam equipment.
• Inspect parts for quality and quantity per company standards.
• Record weld results and daily reports.
• Maintain weld schedules and fixtures.
• Perform routine maintenance on weld equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Job description

Job Summary:

Perform Electron beam welding on assemblies following procedures; able to set up and tend machines designed to weld through the use of a high-velocity electron beam.

Reporting To:

Department Manager/Supervisor

Essential Job Functions:

• Review work orders to ensure familiarization with job requirements.
• Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
• Operate machine(s) utilizing proper procedures for optimum weld quality.
• Perform welding using Heli-arc, Spot weld, and Electron Beam equipment.
• Inspect parts continuously to ensure that the welding process is performed in a manner consistent with company standards of quantity and quality.
• Perform set-ups, adjust control settings to meet strength, leak test, pressure and penetration requirements for a wide variety of assembly types and materials.
• Leak test welded parts at each operation as required by routing.
• Record weld results and distribute daily report.
• Maintain file of weld schedules and fixtures in good order in weld room.
• Perform cross-sectioning of parts where required.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment in the weld room as required.

Salary Range:

$28.00 - $35.00/Hour, Depending on Experience.
