Job summary

MW Components is seeking an experienced welder to join our fabrication team in Corona, CA. The role involves performing GTAW, PAW, and resistance welding while reading blueprints and ensuring parts meet specifications.

You will set up equipment, maintain tools, and manage material inventories, with strict adherence to safety policies and OSHA regulations. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, welding training, and at least one year of welding experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year welding experience required.
  • Completion of a welding training program or vocational certification preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding tasks using GTAW, PAW, and Resistance Welding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete work accurately.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to instructions.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Set up welding equipment and maintain tools in safe, working condition.
  • Select appropriate welding materials and consumables for each job.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools for preparation and finishing tasks.
  • Maintain inventory of welding materials and report shortages.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Wear proper PPE and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and job progress.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding progress and challenges.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform welding tasks using various methods such as GTAW, PAW and Resistance Welding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete work accurately.

  • Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and production team members.
  • Assist higher-level welders or technicians as needed for complex tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding work progress and challenges.

  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques and processes (GTAW, PAW, Resistance).
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year of welding experience
  • Completion of a welding training program or vocational certification preferred.
