The Welder I is responsible for welding metal components to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using various welding equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Welds metal parts on subassembly and production lines using GMAW, arc welding, and submerged arc processes, including cutting and grinding tasks.
  • Interprets drawings to ensure proper weld sequencing and sizing.
  • Inspects own work and that of others, reporting defects immediately.
  • Positions and clamps components of metal products prior to welding.
  • Operates overhead cranes, jib cranes, or forklifts safely to move large parts.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of welding experience; certification preferred.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Physical ability to stand, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Positive attitude towards customers, colleagues, and the company.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards.
