Qualifications

  • 0-1 years welding experience - GMAW preferred.
  • 2-4 years welding experience - GMAW preferred.
  • 5+ years welding experience – Tig, Mig, GMAW preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform GMAW structural welding tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Fit & weld small frames and support structures using jigs.

Skills

Basic knowledge of using grinders
MIG welding
Cleaning of welds

ABOUT THE JOB:

The purpose of the Welder include but is not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • GMAW Structural Welding
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Handle multiple jobs within timeframes
  • Fit & weld small frames and support structures using jigs
  • Overtime as required
  • Assist with project work as directed by Department Manager
  • Comply with all ParkUSA policies, procedures and guidelines

Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Basic knowledge of using grinders, tape measure, punch press, drill press, hand tools
  • MIG welding
  • Cleaning of welds
  • Prepping materials for welding
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow all operating procedures, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement focused environment.
  • Able to read, write and speak in English language.
  • Work professionally, cooperatively and politely in a team environment and with customers.
  • Handle multiple tasks, work independently, recognize issues and solve problems.
  • Proficient in safety regulations and quality control related items.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity and clear speech to perform the essential functions of the job effectively.
  • Able to learn, organize and prioritize work as necessary.
  • Ability to self-manage and solve problems.
  • Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • No experience needed – will train
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 0-1 years welding experience - GMAW preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years welding experience - GMAW preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5 + years welding experience – Tig, Mig, GMAW preferred
  • Able to read, write and speak in English language is preferred
  • Able to work with and apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
  • Work hours vary or change based on operational needs
  • Must be able to work overtime as required
