Job summary

The Bay Family of Companies in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Welder to join our fabrication team. You will weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions, ensuring fit-up and conformity to job specs.

Work with floor supervisors, quality control, and shop supervision to meet specifications. Candidates should have 4–7 years welding/fabrication experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and basic math and tape measure ability.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in a welding/fabrication environment.
• Strong blueprint reading skills with weld symbols.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure (standard and metric).

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Operate equipment (saw, shear, rollers, etc.) using safe work habits.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure to ensure conformance with customer specs.
• Weld using aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, or other alloys.
• Clamp, hold, tack weld, heat straighten, plasma cut, and grind to prepare welds.

Description

As a Welder you will work with the floor supervisors, quality control and shop supervisor to ensure that all work is fit up and welded to the specifications of each job and meets outlined requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Operate various equipment (saw, shear, rollers, etc.) using safe work habits.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with customer specifications.
• Weld separately or in combination using aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, or other alloys.
• Clamping, holding, tack welding, heat straightening, plasma cutting, and grinding required to obtain configurations and positions for welding.

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years in a welding/fabrication environment, required.
• Strong blueprint reading skills with knowledge of weld symbols.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure (standard and metric).
