The Welder Helper performs a variety of general manual labor tasks, including, but not limited to, lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading vehicles, and other activities in a helping or assisting mode.

*Please note* Night Shift Position

What Will You Do?
  • Apply basic skills and may develop advanced skills appropriate to welding.
  • Duties may include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machines, such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
  • May be responsible for setting up and taking down ladders and other temporary structures.
  • May be responsible for setting up workstations, transporting materials, or operating machines to assist in the building processes.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
  • Manufacturing Plant Environment
  • Warehouse driving such as forklift, lift trucks, etc.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and other movement as necessary.
  • Manufacturing Plant – required PPE when necessary.
Your Experience Should Be...
  • Performing work under direct supervision.
  • Handling basic issues and problems, and referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possessing beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Physical stamina.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift/move heavy objects.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to:
    • Adhere to Company Standards and Values
    • Follow attendance guidelines and structure
    • Meet deadlines for assignments
    • Interact personably with co-workers and associates
  • Currently in Welding School or completed Welding School.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass the AWS weld test now or in the near future.
