Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAllegiance Staffing is currently seeking:Position: TackerShift: M-F 7:30am-4pmPay: $16-18/hr DOELocation: GoldsboroTACKER:

• Store and retrieve raw materials according to printed production instructions.
• Cylindrical (round) tanks: Operate bending rolls to form tank bodies; burn holes in bodies/heads, if needed; tack weld heads to bodies; and move to temporary storage.
• Rectangular tanks: Operate shear and press brake to form tank heads and bodies; assemble and tack weld; then move to temporary storage.
• Assist production welders in movement and positioning of tanks in process.
• Assure a steady flow of welded tanks to testing area.
• Clean and keep safe work areas daily.

Welder Tacker – Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (technical training or welding certification is a plus)
• Experience with MIG, TIG, or stick welding processes, especially tack welding
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting metal parts before final welding
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely
• Strong attention to detail to ensure proper alignment and quality of tack welds
• Understanding of metal properties and proper preparation for weld joints
• Good physical stamina – ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials
• Knowledge of shop safety practices and personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Team-oriented with good communication skills and a reliable work ethic
• Willingness to assist welders, fitters, and fabricators as needed
