Job summary

Blackeagle Energy Services LLC is seeking a Welder Helper in Berthoud, CO to assist rig welders with preparation and welding tasks on pipelines or facilities. You will learn and contribute to welding processes while traveling for some projects.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to company procedures; prior welding helper experience is preferred but not required beyond 3+ months, with training provided to help you grow in the field.

Qualifications

• 3+ months welding helper experience.
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred.
• Must know how to read a tape measure, cut pipe with beveling machine, salvage fittings.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to tolerate frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Capability to push, pull, grasp, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Must be able to wear and operate the required PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves).

JOB SUMMARY

The Welder Helper will perform any combination of general labor tasks as well as assist rig welders with preparation and welding tasks on the pipeline or facility, as well as assist in securing components together applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques. Must be willing to travel and stay out of town for some jobs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
