Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years welding experience required.
• Must pass welding tests per company standards.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 welding standards.
• Adheres to all safety protocols and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to identify welding requirements.
• Set up and operate welding machines with specified amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse settings.
• Inspect welding machines, cables, and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Determine the appropriate welding technique, position, and jig based on weld specs.
• Guide the electrode or welding gun to achieve correct fusion depth and bead quality.
• Select efficient welding processes for moving materials or products.
• Examine welds for beads, cracks, or defects and perform repairs as needed.
• Clean, grind, or degrease parts to meet quality standards.
• Safely operate manlifts and cranes for material handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team goals.
