Job summary

Senneca Holdings is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter for the Salt Lake City, UT facility on the day shift (Mon-Thu, 6:00 am–4:30 pm). The role involves fitting, aligning, and welding structural tube and plate assemblies per drawings and weld procedures.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing layout and fit-up, and ensuring weld quality. Safety, attendance, and teamwork are essential as you contribute to fabrication projects and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of welding certification program or equivalent hands-on welding experience (1–2 years preferred).
• Basic proficiency in MIG (GMAW) and/or Flux Core (FCAW) welding processes.
• AWS D1.1 or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld structural tube assemblies per fabrication drawings and WPS requirements.
• Perform layout, cutting, grinding, and fitting operations to prepare materials.
• Verify dimensions and alignment using measuring tools, squares, and levels.
• Operate MIG (GMAW) and/or Flux Core (FCAW) welding on carbon steel materials.
• Maintain high quality weld appearance, size, and penetration.
• Inspect welds for conformance and report nonconformities.
