Job summary

R & R Manufacturing in Broussard, LA is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our hands-on team. You will weld using MIG, TIG, STICK, and Flux Core on carbon and stainless steels and read blueprints to ensure proper fit and alignment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of welding and fitting experience
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
• Knowledge of welding codes and industry standards
• Certifications such as AWS Welder, CWI, ASNT Level II, API 1104 / ASME IX (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, STICK, and Flux Core welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Prepare materials including cutting, grinding, and fitting
• Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Verify work meets AWS, ASME, API, and customer specifications
• Document inspections and complete quality reports
• Assist with or coordinate NDT testing (UT, MT, PT, RT)
• Identify non‑conformances and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure a safe work environment

What You'll Do

• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux Core welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys


• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working in a fabrication or industrial environment

Work Environment & Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (overtime as needed)


• Shop and occasional field work


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs


• Work may include heights, confined spaces, and non‑climate‑controlled environments
